MI Voter Regisistration Eligibilty

  1. You are a US citizen
  2. You are at least 18 years old. Pre-registration is permitted at age 16
  3. You are a Michigan resident and a resident of your City or Township for at least 30 days
  4. You are not currently serving a sentence in jail or prison

Register to Vote: Michigan's voting laws now allow for voter registration up through election day. You can register to vote at your clerk's office, by mail, or online! 

Check Your Voter Registration Status and Polling Location: Verify that you are registered and find the location of your polling precinct.

Voter ID: All Michigan voters must provide a photo ID when voting in person. If unable to present a photo ID, an signed affidavit attesting that the voter is not in possession of their photo ID is also acceptable. Instructions for obtaining a State ID are available through this link.

Absentee Voting: All Michigan voters have the right to vote by mail using an absentee ballot delivered to their home. 

Early Voting: Michigan voters have the right to cast a ballot early and in person at an early voting site before Election Day.

Voters with Disabilities: Federal and State laws require Michigan cities, townships, and villages to provide accessible voting for everyone.
